The Liepāja visual art biennale “Paralēle” invites artists from Liepāja and its surroundings to submit works for an exhibition that will be open from November 12 to December 13. Each artist may submit up to two works created within the last two years, accompanied by a completed application form. This biennial event, held every two years, showcases the diversity, quality, and current trends in local art, with a particular focus on enhancing the visibility of Liepāja artists as the city prepares to become the European Capital of Culture in 2027. A professional jury will evaluate the submitted works, and the Liepāja Culture Department has established a prize fund of 3000 euros. The Liepāja Museum will also acquire one of the exhibited works to enrich its art collection.
