The animated film for children "Laimīgie," directed by Edmunds Jansons, tells the story of nine-year-old Elizabeth, who travels to the Venezuelan rainforest to join her family during the school holidays. She is no longer drawn to jungle life and is reluctant to look after her younger brother, Leo. When her parents unexpectedly go to the city to see a doctor, Elizabeth, engrossed in a book, fails to notice Leo disappearing into the mysterious jungle. To rescue her brother and a creature of an unseen species named Pūkainītis, Elizabeth bravely ventures to explore the secrets of the jungle.
