The teachers' conference "You. Class. Artificial Intelligence" will gather around 200 educators to explore meaningful ways to use artificial intelligence (AI) in education. The central plenary session, "Latvian Education in the AI Era: Act Now," will focus on the changes AI is bringing to the teaching and learning process. A panel discussion will feature AI in education ambassador Māra Ozola, researchers Evija Mirķe and Atis Kapenieks, and entrepreneur Gints Kukainis. The conference will be moderated by Jānis Krēvics, with Kristīne Spure as a special guest. In the second part, participants will enhance practical skills in 13 workshops, practicing the development of quality lesson plans with AI, learning techniques to boost learning motivation using AI, and considering teacher well-being in the context of digital tools. Participants are encouraged to bring their own smart devices.
