The Nordic and Baltic comics art exhibition “MYTHBUSTERS” explores stereotypes about these regions, such as trolls, Vikings, saunas, and polar nights. Sixteen comics artists offer ironic, sharp, absurdly funny, or personal perspectives on life in the region through their works. Participants include Akvile Magicdusté, Cecilia Vårhed, Clara Jetsmark, Disa Wallander, Elín Elísabet, Emmi Valve, Ida Neverdahl, Joonas Sildre, Jurijs Tatarkins, Laura Ķeniņš, Liisa Kruusmägi, Mari Ahokoivu, Ona Kvašytė, Søren Glosimodt Mosdal, Tim Ng Tvedt, and Tommi Musturi. The exhibition is curated by David Schilter. Concurrently with the exhibition, the Nordic and Baltic Comics Magazine š! #57 “Mythbústers” is released, collecting these stories for readers worldwide.
