The Liepāja Central Scientific Library invites everyone to a lecture titled "Whose Head Is It Anyway?" led by Liene Valdmane, PhD, a media literacy education expert and specialist from Drossinternets.lv. The lecture will encourage reflection on the impact of today's information environment on our thinking, beliefs, and choices. It will focus on critical thinking as an essential superpower, manipulation techniques, and the ability to react flexibly to change, helping participants recognize manipulation and maintain independent judgment. This event is organized within the framework of UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Week, in collaboration with the National Library of Latvia's Library Development Centre and with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
