The folk dance ensemble “Kukulečka” will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a concert titled “Thirty-five years of homeland story written in dance”. For 35 years, the ensemble has preserved and nurtured Polish cultural heritage in Daugavpils and Latvia, bringing together dancers of various generations and fostering intercultural dialogue. The anniversary concert will feature dancers of different age groups, presenting a vibrant program that intertwines Polish folk dance traditions, stories about the homeland and independence, and memories of the ensemble's creative journey. This event will unite the history and cultural heritage of Latvia and Poland, fostering a sense of community and demonstrating the power of dance to connect generations and strengthen national identity.
