The lecture "GARDEN FOR HEALTH AND NUTRITION" will offer insights into the world of medicinal plants and garden preparation for the upcoming season. Līga Eglīte, gardener of Cēsis Medieval Castle, will share her knowledge on the history of medicinal plants, their use in healing and daily life, and their cultivation in the garden. The second part will focus on how to create and improve raised beds, high beds, cold frames, sunken beds, or warm beds, comparing 18th–19th century and modern methods. Attendees will learn about historical crops, ancient varieties, and seeds, and will also be able to acquire seeds from the garden collection. The lecture has an admission fee.
