Durbes Castle invites visitors to its Legends Night, with this year's theme being "Light." The event offers an opportunity to rediscover historical evidence, explore the castle's cultural heritage, and enjoy the sounds of ancient music. The program includes the opening of the "Close-ups" exhibition, featuring authentic decorative details found during the castle's restoration and historical photographs. There will also be a concert-story "Dorothea's Letters" by the early music ensemble "Amber Baroque," introducing Dorothea, Duchess of Courland and Semigallia, through contemporary letters and 18th-century baroque music by composers such as G. F. Handel, J. S. Bach, and D. Buxtehude. Performers include Aija Veismane (vocals), Sanita Zariņa (baroque violin), Danuta Ločmele (baroque cello), Beata Geka (organ), with Ivo Martinsons reading the letters.
