"Latvijas stāsti kino," in collaboration with "Kinopunkts," invites you to two Latvian film screenings. The program includes Aigars Grauba's historical film "Rīgas sargi," which tells the story of 1919, when Mārtiņš returns to Latvia after years of war abroad and joins the fight for the newly established state against German forces led by Pavel Bermont. This will be followed by Viesturs Kairišs' feature film "Uļa," an emotionally powerful story about identity, growing up, and the search for belonging in Latvia during the late 1960s, following an Old Believer teenager named Uļa who is recruited to a famous basketball team in Riga.
