The Nordic and Baltic comics art exhibition "Mythbusters" will open at Liepāja Music, Art and Design Secondary School. The exhibition features 16 comics artists who explore stereotypes about the Nordic and Baltic countries, offering ironic, sharp, absurdly funny, or personal perspectives on life in the region. Their works delve into familiar concepts such as trolls, Vikings, the midnight sun, polar nights, saunas, ice swimming, hygge, fika, Nokia, and IKEA. The exhibition is curated by David Schilter. Concurrently, the Nordic and Baltic Comics Magazine š! #57 “Mythbústers”, which compiles these stories, will be released. The exhibition is organized by the comics culture magazine "Kuš!" in collaboration with the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia and is part of the Nordic Days. The exhibition will be on display until November 27.
