The Liepāja Visual Arts Biennial “Paralēle” invites artists from Liepāja and its surroundings to submit their works. Each artist may submit up to two works created within the last two years, accompanied by a completed application form. A professional jury will evaluate the submissions, and the Liepāja Culture Department will provide a prize fund of 3000 euros. The Liepāja Museum will also acquire one of the exhibited works to enrich its art collection. This biennial event, held every two years, showcases the diversity, quality, and current trends in local art, with a special focus on increasing the visibility of Liepāja artists as the city prepares to become the European Capital of Culture in 2027. The exhibition will be open to visitors from November 12 to December 13.
