A captivating musical performance, “Chipollino’s New Year Adventures,” will take place, based on Gianni Rodari’s classic story. The play tells the tale of the brave boy Chipollino, who, with his friends, restores justice in a fairy-tale land of fruits and vegetables, teaching that richness of spirit and true friendship are more valuable than power and money. The performance features original songs, vibrant costumes, interactive games with the audience, and New Year’s wonders, including an appearance by Santa Claus. The musical accompaniment will be provided by Gidons Grinbergs, who will also portray Professor Pear, and well-known actors such as Sergejs Dobrotvorskis, Antons Patlins, Andrejs Mošāns, and Darja Kravcova will participate. Andrejs Sediševs directs the production. The event is conducted in Russian and is suitable for the whole family.
